Urge EPA to adopt a robust and thorough cleanup plan for Newtown Creek’s East Branch

Newtown Creek East Branch, Photo: Newtown Creek Alliance
The EPA has proposed an Early Action Cleanup Plan for Newtown Creek’s East Branch, a tributary of Newtown Creek located in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Ridgewood and Maspeth, Queens. This Early Action will permanently impact these neighborhoods and inform the future cleanup plan for the entire creek, so it is critical that a robust and thorough remedy is selected that is protective of human and environmental health. Comment deadline is November 12, 2024.
