International Coastal Cleanup Day at Randall’s Island, NYC

Riverkeeper and the Randall’s Island Park Alliance will lead volunteers in several service projects across this sensitive urban park in NYC. Randall’s Island offers a rare wildlife haven in the shadow of NYC, with a newly restored wetland that provides wildlife habitat and erosion protection for the island. Volunteers will be assisting in debris cleanup, invasive species removal, mulching sensitive habitat and fencing areas to protect from litter.
