Entero Count

Enterococcus (“Entero”) is a fecal indicating bacterium that lives in the intestines of humans and other warm-blooded animals. It is the EPA preferred indicator for sewage contamination.

About this location:

This site, on the bank opposite the Old Stone Bridge and Slippery Rock sites, serves as an upstream reference for Leeds, and a downstream reference point for assessing sewage inputs from the outfall under the Old Stone Bridge. This part of the creek is used for fishing access.
